Hi!
According to an
analyst I heard on the radio, the economy appears to have bottomed
back in January 2009. Unfortunately, it’s been trolling along the
bottom since or so it seems. Now, I’m seeing an uptick and hope you
are as well. This is the time to reach out to new markets and opportunities to take full advantage of the recovery. Here are some
suggestions…
1. Read Blue
Ocean Strategy if you haven’t already done so. It lays out a
process for strategic planning that will help you distinguish your
company from competitors. Don’t try to shortcut the process.
Strategy is extremely important right now, yet many companies focus
on tactics while paying lip service to strategy. Formulating a solid
strategy will give you a huge advantage in the next year or two.
2. Write a
business plan. Model plans are available by searching for them on
Google or other search engines. Putting your plan in writing will
give you focus.
3. Build your
marketing communications program around social networking. Stay
flexible in your marketing because we live in an age of rapid
change.
4. Join my
strategic growth group.
Call me if you
need help discovering your elusive blue ocean or with any of the
other suggestions above. It’s amazing what you can explore in a
simple one-hour meeting over a cup of coffee. 630-393-6516.
Regards,
Paul
